Adem\u00e1s de las p\u00e9rdidas humanas, el gran volumen de agua ha causado estragos en tres municipios, da\u00f1ando sobre todo las infraestructuras de la provincia.<\/p>\n<p>La portavoz del ayuntamiento de Tambo, Zimkhita Macingwane, inform\u00f3 que el caudal de agua se ha llevado consigo 10 puentes en el municipio de Port St. Johns, lo cual ha dificultado el acceso a las escuelas y a otros centros c\u00edvicos. Macingwane declar\u00f3 que \u201clas lluvias han dejado un rastro de destrucci\u00f3n en la infraestructura de la ciudad, en los negocios y en los hogares de la gente. Por ello, los equipos de gesti\u00f3n de desastres de Tambo est\u00e1n trabajando para atender las consecuencias de estas inundaciones\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>No es la primera vez que la regi\u00f3n se enfrenta a una situaci\u00f3n similar. En abril del a\u00f1o pasado los habitantes tambi\u00e9n fueron v\u00edctimas de intensas lluvias como las que sufren ahora.
